Paid members receive the Swedish Club Quarterly Newsletter in the mail.
Also, for reservation events paid member's cost is $10 less than guest or non-paid member's cost – that in itself is paying for the membership!

Dues are for the calendar year.
Membership renewal for the NEW YEAR occurs during the fourth quarter of the current year. New Member Dues paid during October through December covers current year and the NEW YEAR.
 BONUS: For dues paid, received and recorded by January 31 the Club includes for free a year's subscription to the quarterly publication of Sweden & America. This is a joint publication of the Swedish American Center in Karlstad, Sweden and the Swedish Council of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Value of the subscription is $16 for one year.

Lower Membership Dues!
The Newsletter will be sent electronically commencing with First Quarter 2012.
Going ‘electronic’ will save the club both Time and Money, and it will be much more efficient than what we have done in the past …
We will likely introduce ‘electronic’ events payments, also to save on handling of such payments, including the membership dues.
In view of these changes, please make sure the club has your email address as without it, the newsletter with information about past and future events will not be received timely. No printed copies will be available. It is with these changes the board decided to lower the dues for the coming calendar year.
